Greetings,
So I have been baffled by this one. I have had several users not be able to login to Forma LMS as it presents an error. I have reviewed their Active Directory accounts, reset their passwords to the passwords they have provided, and made sure the user names match in Forma as to what it says in our Active Directory. They still can't login.
Is there a way we can see the LDAP communication between Forma and our AD to figure out why it's not accepting their credentials? It's not everyone, it's only small amounts of users and I can't seem to figure out what's different with them because they appear to be all the same, setup wise.
Or is there anything specific I should be looking for in the Active Directory that Forma is looking for to allow the users to login?
Thank you and I look forward to your reply.
Signed,
John

Re: Need to see the LDAP communication between Forma and LDA
check if users that can't login are in a subfolder or in a different folder than other users reside

Greetings,
Each user is in their respective OU in Active Directory. Nothing appears to be out of the ordinary.

Re: Need to see the LDAP communication between Forma and LDA
your configuration seems to be correct : trhere are some users that can login
So I think that thare are some flag or OU setting that differs from users able to login and thoes that can't
You must investigate what are the diffecences ( I suppose in the AD side)
last :
in forma.lms there are no debug facilities to view the LDAP dialog with the server.

Re: Need to see the LDAP communication between Forma and LDA
Greetings,
We have researched thoroughly the AD records between different users, and we still can't seem to identify what flag or OU setting is incorrect that is preventing them from logging in. Do you have any documentation at all on what LDAP is looking for, that we can reference in identifying the cause? I hate to turn off LDAP because it's much easier to manage centrally.
Thank you and look forward to your reply.

Hi,
How is the LDAP synchronization?
Example
LDAP server : 192.168.23.32
LDAP port (usually 389): 389
Username for LDAP users: What should be written here?
I found something like that, is that correct? -> uid=$user,dc=person,o=192.168.23.32
Could you help me , please?
also,
How to assign users to lessons (with Ldap) ?
