Hello,
I noticed you were talking about version 2.0 in summer of 2015. It's been a year since 1.4.1 was launched. Can you share an estimated timeline and features for the next version?

On a related note... In the forma-lms-presentation on slideshare from 6/8/2014,
Slide 17 shows the "Roadmap for the near future" and lists the following:
*Plugin Manager
*Addition of further custom features
*Enhance template engine
*Multi database support

Can you please share where forma is on that roadmap, and if a new roadmap exists?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Forma 2 is almost on the launchpad, we know it's been very awaited on this community. We still cannot give you a precise date, but it's expected to be released before the summer. It will include many improvements in many areas. Basically, it will be responsive, that'll be the most important feature. But I don't want to spoiler the official launch :-)

To answer your related note:

- Plugin Manager => it's been available since version 1.3, if I'm not mistaken
- Custom features => if you look at the release notes, every new version has always included new custom features
- Template => well, Forma 2 will have a totally revamped UI
- multidatabase => it won't be included in this release, but we designed how it's going to work and are ready to implement it. It would be needed for corporate projects, for installations with several thousands users

Hi,

yes, it will be released in early autumn. We have a trade fair at the end of October, where we want to introduce the new version.

Hi Max. Can you say if you are still using PHP 5.3 as the baseline for the next version?

Thanks.

Hi phatsaqs

for the new release 2.0 we will drop off the compatibility with php 5.3
the minimum php required will be 5.4

I noticed the new version didn't get released at the end of October. Is there a new timeframe we should expect for 2.0?
thanks,
docebogal
