Google Data Studio / JDBC - MySQL and Empty Date Fields

The database definition may need to be amended to ensure that the date fields within tables that do not contain actual dates are defined to NULL by default, as the JDBC driver for Google Data Studio does not accept zero'd date fields.
I'm not aware that this will cause and issue inside Forma LMS itself, as it doesn't seem to care if a date field is NULL or zero-filled?
At present, Google Data Studio using the JDBC driver to connect to the database will not return date fields that are zero-filled as the driver does not recognise it as a date. This would apply to Google Sheets also.
Maybe a fix for the future?
