Hello!
My team is investigating this LMS and had a few questions that would be great if the community could answer to solidify our decision :) .
We would really appreciate your help on this, it will make our choice easier to know the following;

1. Can a user use their LinkedIn account to login to Forma?

2. Permissions
- does this system have the ability to have multiple clients/organization levels, as well as each user having a different level of access?
- is there a built in hierarchy of users, so that one user can oversee students?

3. Is Forma Mobile Friendly?

4. Can clients/Organization Users run reports for their organizations?

5. Can a student register for the system and maintain their profile?

6. Is there a training event management available in the system? (scheduling, tracking, training calendar, registration)

7. Does the system have any of the following?
- SKill Gap Analysis and Assessments?
- Individual Development Plans (IDP)
- Organization Development Plans
- Skills and Competencies MAnagement (items marked as completed)

Hello,

first of all thanks for joining this community. Yours is indeed a broad question, I'll try to answer it as well as a forum message allows.
Also, many of your questions are actually answered either on several threads of this forum or in FormaLms' website (www.formalms.org).

------------------------------
1. Can a user use their LinkedIn account to login to Forma?
Yes, Forma has a Linked In SSO feature

2. Permissions
- does this system have the ability to have multiple clients/organization levels, as well as each user having a different level of access?
Yes, it's one of its main features.

- is there a built in hierarchy of users, so that one user can oversee students?
Yes.

3. Is Forma Mobile Friendly?
FormaLms is currently usable via either iOS or Android mobile devices. It still doesn't have a responsive template, we're working on it.

4. Can clients/Organization Users run reports for their organizations?
Yes of course.

5. Can a student register for the system and maintain their profile?
Not sure what you mean here, but yes, Forma has a self-registration feature which can be turned on or off. There are also many more interesting details and nuances in the self-registration feature.

6. Is there a training event management available in the system? (scheduling, tracking, training calendar, registration)
Of course, teacher can track users' progress. You can also schedule the availability of any given Learning Object. And you can manage offline events (either "classroom training" or "events".

7. Does the system have any of the following?
- SKill Gap Analysis and Assessments?
Yes
- Individual Development Plans (IDP)
Please define better what you mean here
- Organization Development Plans

- Skills and Competencies MAnagement (items marked as completed)
Yes

Let's see if other users can provide more detailed answers. Feel free to elaborate further, if you wish.

Hi, you're welcome!
Herebelow you can find my answers.

There is a section called "catalogue", where you can list courses that can be made available to specific users. You can have different catalogues for different populations.
With the catalogue, users can self-enroll to the courses they wish. This is what resembles an IDP the most.

Organizations can
- assign different catalogues to different users
- assign "curricula" (sets of courses with prerequisites between each other) to users, roles or groups
- manually enroll with one-click different categories of users to different courses
- automatically assign people in different branches of the organization chart, by using "subscription policies",
- automatically assign courses to people in roles, by using a combination of "roles" and "subscription policies"
.... etc.
