Stuck on Step 4/7

Greetings,

I'm trying to install Forma LMS v1.4.2 on a Windows Server 2008r2 using IIS 7, PHP v5.6.28 and MySQL v5.0.11.

I have been able to overcome most of the issues that I encountered (most of them were things that I just didn't configured), but now, on the installation step that looks for the database, I can't proceed, I have used the correct username, password and database name, but it keeps on loading, as if it were trying to connect to the database. I left it all night, but still I couldn't proceed to step 5.

Any suggestions?

Hi rarce, welcome in the community
The db installation should take just a few seconds, if it takes more you probably have misconfigured some other server option.
Try also to downgrade to php 5.4 or 5.5, since 5.6 is not fully tested

Thanks Alberto,

I did the downgrade using IIS Web Deploy tool, (it saves a lot of time downloading and installing). Changing settings on IIS saves a lot of time too. I finally completed the installation. Now I only need to publish it.

Thanks a lot for your help!
