Il tuo problema era che non veniva restituito nessun oggetto sulla selezione degli admin del corso / edizione .
La seconda patch segnalata modifica il modo con cui viene effettuata questa selezione e restituisce sempre un oggetto ( anche vuoto ) come nel tuo caso quando non sei un admin
