SCORM quiz/test problem

Post by yourweb »

In Docebo we've a quiz/test to test the students knowledge. If the student fails he has to make the quiz/test again. In 4.0.4 it works: the student closes the SCORM object and reopens the SCORM object: he starts at the beginning. In 4.0.5 this doesn't work: once the student has made the test he can't redo the test.

How can I solve this? What has changed in 4.0.5 that disallows the student to redo the test?

Hi,
did you select " Until not completed/passed" in the properties setting of the learning object?

LMS-Front-end -> Teacher Area -> Learning Object Element -> there you select the SCORM object. See attached screen shot.

I've changed to that but it didn't work. The test shows the slide that it needs to be redone. In 4.0.4 it works (even with the infinite option).

I've also deleted and uploaded the scorm again with the changed settings.

Hi yourweb, and welcome onboard.
Some more information is needed to understand your issue.

are you talking about a scorm object or about a test made with docebo's tool?
have you checked your object's properties? the behaviour you are describing should only happen if you set the object to be executed only once.
another thing I am thinking of is the suspension feature: in docebo, you can decide that if you fail a test a specific number of times (even 1) you have to complete all the previous Learning objects before doing the test again. It's easy to notice if it is so, you would see a "locker" icon near the test.

It's a SCORM with a test/quiz in it.

I've used the default settings for the SCORM and the suggested setting. The language is Dutch (there is no English installed but the places of the options are the same). Left is Docebo 4.0.5 and right is 4.0.4. There is an extra row in 4.0.4, not sure why.

There is no locker. Just the yellow/orange check icon (that is green when you passed the test).

Ok, clear.
The extra row in the 4.04 is strange, I've never seen "orgmilestone prevstart" but I don't think it is an issue.
The options are ok, and since it is a scorm object (and you have no locker) even the suspension option is not an issue.

Right now, the only thing I can think of has to do with the object itself. I don't know the tool you used to publish it, but can it be that you selected some strange option while publishing the scorm and docebo doesn't manage it correctly?

Do you have a working sample for me? Maybe we can test with that. My client is using Adobe captivate.

But if it is something that is wrong with Adobe Captivate, why does it work on 4.0.4?

I have a lot of working samples (all made with Articulate presenter or Storyline, none with Captivate), but I was puzzled by the same doubt: why does it work on the 4.04?
If you wish, we could do the other way around: if you want to share the LO with us, we can test it on one of our installations. Testing other LO's is not so useful, I think.

I'm waiting for my client to send a demo SCORM. I can't publish the SCORM I'm testing with because of copyright issues.
