The development of Forma 3.0 is proceeding fast, and today we are presenting a preview of the brand new dashboard feature.
We are introducing a new dashboard module to be used as platform home page for end users, in place of MyCourses or Catalog page. The idea behind this new module is to help user engagement by focusing the most relevant information about upcoming and most relevant activities and information
The new dashboard includes some default blocks:
The default blocks available at the moment are:
- Calendar, showing course dates and events
- Upcoming Activities, displaying the next course dates
- Announcements, showing the announcements from courses the user is suscribed
- Image Banner
Further blocks could be added via the plugin system, and it will be possible to easily edit the dashboard organization by adding elements, setting the block dimension, change blocks order by drang'n'drop: This video shows how the dashboard administration will work:
Cool, isn't it? ?
Forma 3 will also feature PHP 7.4 compatibility, new code events, and a complete refactoring of the LO management features. We really hope to deliver the new release by the early spring 2020, but we still need your support: please JOIN our CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN to help us finalize all the new stuff as soon as possible!
