Competence Category Add New Missing

No link available to add competence categories or competences themselves.

From your screenshot, I see that you are selecting a competence, you are not in the area where competences are added.
I suppose you started from the courses, then clicked on the star to add a competence to a course. If you do not have available competences, it's normal that you can't select anything.

You have to go to the competence section, add one or more competences, THEN you'll be able to add them to courses.

If you are on Forma 1.4.3 it's under admin>main>users>competences

Ok, now after associating a competence with a course, shouldn't it appear under the 'Competence' tab for the student interface? Or it is added to each student after completing the corresponding course? Or is it designed so that competences are added to users manually only?

It is added after the student completes with success the corresponding course
