Hi All,
Always wondered, in LMS/Course/Teacher/LEARNING OBJECT MANAGEMENT what is the Allocating programmes/modules button used for because you can't enrol a learner in the course from the frontend (that was removed) or can you?
Looking forward to finding out
Cheers
Graeme
Allocating programmes/modules
Re: Allocating programmes/modules
If you refer to the "shilouette" button, it's used in the very rare case that you want to assign a specific module to specific users or groups.
The default setting is: you don't use that button > every user sees the module
If you use it, just specific users would be able to see the module
Some use cases:
you have a course with a general introductory module for everybody, then a module for doctors and a different one for nurses. And a final exam
You make 2 groups (doctors and nurses) and you make the specific module available to just the right group, or to the right users.

Ok, just be aware that every time you add users to your course you need to allocate the module to them, it's not automatic.
For 99% of the cases, I prefer to create 2 editions of the course if I have that type of need.
