Hi,
We have 3 courses for a client. As an administrator, they are able to subscribe students to two specific courses but not another specific course.
IF i upgrade the account to super-admin, they are able to subscribe.
Am I missing something in the admin settings, or can an administrator not subscribe to a third course which has been uploaded to the LMS?
Regards,
Adam

Hi Adam,
welcome on board!
yes - I suppose you're missing something in the administrator settings.
The administrator (and the public admin, btw) is allowed to manage...the courses you give them permission to manage.
So you probably gave them rights on only the first 2 and not on the 3rd one.
Just browse to Administrators management › Courses and flag the missing course and you'll be alright.

Re: Ability to subscribe users as administrator
Hi Adam, maybe there is something wrong with the third course configuration, is there any difference between the courses?

Re: Ability to subscribe users as administrator
Hi Guys,
Thanks for your replies.
The administrator should have access to subscribe all 3 courses and there is no difference between any settings.
The administrator is able to subscribe to ALL courses by going to E-Learning > Course > Subscription, but they are unable to subscribe using the main subscribe button on the Admin Area Welcome Page. Also, if they subscribe using the other function, they have the ability to unsubscribe, which I don't want to authorise.
Regards,
Adam

Re: Ability to subscribe users as administrator
Hi Adam,
we made some tests with a clean D4.0.5.
The administrator we tested is totally able to subscribe either with the shortcut on the welcome page and with the subscription management.
In both cases, though, if you are able to subscribe you are also able to unsubscribe. The shortcut is just that, it's not a different function.
Last thing: the permission to subscribe and to unsubscribe is the same, you cannot have one without the other.
So, as far as we can see, everything works fine.

Re: Ability to subscribe users as administrator
Thanks for all the replies. I'm just not sure why the administrator is unable to subscribe to a particular course using the shortcut feature.
Re: Ability to subscribe users as administrator
Try this:
Go to Admin Tab
Main/administrators/administrators management
On the same line as the admin you are wanting to change, Click on the "courses" icon on the far right
Click on the "all courses" button (this means that this admin is admin over all courses)
click on Save.
Let me know if this works.

Hi docebogal,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried what you suggested but there's still no success.
The administrator can subscribe users to the two other courses, but not the other...

Re: Ability to subscribe users as administrator
2 other ideas to force admin on 3rd course:
Under administration management (same as above) you can click on the "select" button (instead of "all courses" button - maybe then you can select each of the 3 courses.
Also, you can manually go to elearning/elearning/course and subscribe to 3rd course as admin.
Not perfect solutions, but all I can think of at the moment.

Hi docebogal,
Thanks again. The suggestions were already investigated
I have also tried creating a new admin account and new admin profile but still no joy!
