Bug in course menu
Hi,
New attempt to submit this issue
I use FormaLMS 3.
I have redefined the order and label in a menu for a course.
It works with teacher profile.
But in the student screen, when he enters into the course, the first entry is selected but it is the content of the second entry that is displayed. You have to click on the first entry again to see its content displayed.
Could you correct this?
This time, I posted a youtube video. You can see the issue at the end:
https://youtu.be/5mxq5PkwfHk
You can see that, under Student profile, the "Informations" tab is selected but point to the bad content.
It's Ok after clicking again on "Informations"

Re: Bug in course menu
I asked steps to replicate the issue. I can't see them in the video.
I need exact process you follow to duplicate/edit the menu in the new course, starting from the original course where the menu works correctly.
If I can't replicate the issue, I can't help, and the only way to fix is being on your instance.

Re: Bug in course menu
I have provided enough information to motivate any conscientious developer to investigate and fix this problem.
You have the evidence in front of you that there is a problem, that should be enough to make you take responsibility.
If you are not able to reproduce a bug that is occurring in front of you with your own code that you are supposed to master, no one will be able to do it for you. And there is no need to ask the user to do this work for you.
Another thing, when you address a user, whatever you think of him, you take the precaution of using a minimum of politeness towards him beforehand. Just greeting him would be a minimum. If your life stresses you out or makes you angry, showing your arrogance will not help.
I know it is a free product, but your arrogance, your incompetence and your lack of professionalism do not encourage people to trust you to subscribe to a paid plan.
If you are not able to handle a user support that only asks you to take into account your own anomalies, you can change your job.
I understand that you do not want to follow up on this obvious anomaly. You can therefore close this topic without bothering to answer it, which would only add to your incompetence.
You can simply ban me from this forum just for fun.

Re: Bug in course menu
I'm not one of the Forma Association developers.
I'm a freelancer and I'm here to help.
I'm not the one who closes the topics.
You'd better pay more attention on who is writing what.
This said, if you need my help, you know how to do.
Making morals or suggesting how to behave in life is of no interest for me here, from whoever they come.

Re: Bug in course menu
Claude,
alfa24 is right: the video doesn't show how to reproduce the supposed bug. It shows a weird behaviour on your instance, but no one has ever seen this thing, ever. I can assure you that if I make a video of how the course menu works in forma 3 or in forma 4 everything would work as expected.
I am the one who closes threads when they go out of hand like the other one, or like this one is quickly doing.
Nobody forces you to pay for a membership, nobody asks you to do anything.
You have an open source product, you can use Forma 3 or even Forma 4 that has just been released to the general public. You are welcome to use them.
The bug you are referring to doesn't exist, until we have the steps to reproduce it. If not, as alfa24 said, one should be on your instance to investigate.
Please stick to the topic, this is not Twitter.
